How can one go about renting a holiday villa in Cyprus?
Once the decision has been made on where to go in Cyprus, Limassol is best due to its central location, then the number of guests in your party, and whether singles/couples/children, has to be established. Based on this, the number of the required bedrooms in the holiday villa can then be decided.
This is then followed by ensuring that the features which a holiday villa must have are there: swimming pool, garden, availability of BBQ area, suitable size of kitchen and dining areas to accommodate all the family or the holidaying party. Availability of a maid service for cleaning, not far from the beach, supermarkets and general shops. At least one local super market should be at a walking distance. Availability of local taxis. Possibility to order and get ready made meals delivered to the villa. Internet access.
The next step will be to contact the villa’s operators with your requirements including number of guests in your party and the dates for which you would like to book the villa.
The villa’s operators might send you quotations on more than one villa which they believe might be of interest to you. In this case you can select the one that you believe is most suitable to your requirements. A booking confirmation deposit payment (usually 25% of total rental) will then be required and the villa will be firmly booked for your party for your specific dates.
8 weeks before your actual arrival at the villa, the balance payment will be due. Then 2 – 3 weeks before check-in at the villa, your flight arrival details will be required, to enable the villa’s operators to send you directions on how to get to the villa based on your airport of arrival.
