Getting Married in Cyprus:
In Cyprus, there are two ways of getting married. Either by a Civil Wedding, the most popular form of wedding for visitors to the Island, or by a Church (Religious) wedding.

Civil Wedding:
A civil wedding is usually easier and faster to organize.
An application with the required date for the wedding has to be submitted, together with a specific set of documents, to a Town Hall to obtain a Wedding Licence.
The Wedding Licence is Town Hall's written acceptance of the application and the submitted wedding documents.
With a Wedding Licence, the way is paved for the actual wedding ceremony to take place.
After the civil wedding ceremony the final Marriage Certificate is issued and the wedding's fomality is considered to be complete.
Civil Wedding Ceremony Location:
A civil wedding ceremony can take place at Town Hall or at a venue approved by Town Hall, such as Villa Mosaica or on a beach venue also sponsored by Villa Mosaica, whereby the Marriage Officers from the Registry Office at Town Hall will visit the Villa, or the beach venue, to perform the civil wedding ceremony.
Civil wedding ceremonies in Cyprus are not available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
Civil Wedding Fees:
Civil Wedding Licence Fees, which includes the Marriage Certificate, are payable by the couple directly to Town Hall and are as follows:

When the wedding ceremony takes place at Town Hall: €282.00.

When the wedding ceremony takes place at the Villa: €795.00.

Church Wedding:
A church wedding (Religious Service: Orthodox, Catholic or Anglican) is conducted by a Chaplain or a Priest, and is organized to take place at a church.
Church wedding ceremony fees range from €290.00 to €598.00 depending on the Church where the wedding will take place.
Each of the above mentioned Churches (Orthodox, Catholic or Anglican) has its own requirements for a wedding ceremony to take place at church.
In case that you are planning to get married in one of these Churches, please
Contact Us to provide you with the wedding's requirements for the Church in question accordingly.
