With an Express Wedding Licence (favoured by most) there is no legal requirement for a civil wedding’s applicant to be in Cyprus for any number of days before the wedding can take place.
However, practicality, as well as availability with Town Hall, may necessitate that one should be in Cyprus for a day or two before their wedding can take place.
In case of a Standard Wedding Licence, you must be in the country for at least 16 days before the wedding. Therefore, the standard wedding licence is suitable for applicants who want to stay in Cyprus for a longer period of time anyway for purposes other than the wedding.

There is no requirement to stay any number of days in Cyprus after the wedding.

This is a declaration (also known as a Marital Status document) issued by the relevant authority in your country stating that:

(2) That there are no legal obstacles or issues preventing you from getting married.
You can obtain this document from the Register Office in your area.
This certificate can also be prepared with a solicitor as an Affidavit. Once this document is issued, there is usually a three months time limit on its validity. In such case, this document should be obtained no longer than three months before the wedding’s date.
